Our Team
Chad Johnson
President
Growing up in a family of realtors, Chad spent years navigating the commercial and residential real estate markets. While he thrived in the industry, he always felt a pull toward the hands-on side of property development. Five years ago, he decided to follow that long-held passion and transition into the construction field.
What started with a single skid steer and a mini-excavator has since grown into a thriving operation. Chad’s background in real estate gives him a distinct advantage; he doesn’t just see a construction site—he sees the long-term value and potential of every project he touches.
When he’s not behind the controls of a machine or managing projects, Chad is usually finding ways to stay active outdoors. He is an avid dirtbike rider and enjoys capturing new perspectives from above with his drone.
Above all, Chad is a family man. He treasures his time spent with his girlfriend, Janet, and his 10-year-old daughter. Whether he’s on a job site or at home, Chad’s work ethic is fueled by his commitment to his family and his passion for building things that last.
Site Supervisor, Licensed General Contractor
Ryan Jacobs
Ryan Jacobs is an integral pillar of the Fifth Row Land and Timber Management team. As Chad’s "right-hand man" for over two years, Ryan brings a diverse professional background and a steadfast work ethic to every project we undertake.
After attending the University of Georgia, Ryan began his career dedicated to community service, spending his early years working with children at the YMCA. This experience laid a foundation of patience and leadership that he carried into his next chapter: an eight-year tenure at UPS. During his time there, Ryan mastered the complexities of logistics and high-level time management—skills that are now vital in ensuring our projects run like clockwork.
Ryan’s transition into the world of building began while working for a framing contractor. His natural talent and passion for the trade drove him to elevate his craft, leading him to successfully obtain his General Contractor’s license. This technical expertise, combined with his logistical mindset, makes him an invaluable asset on-site.
Beyond his professional life, Ryan is a devoted family man. He lives with his wife, GiGi, and their three children. Whether he is navigating a complex job site or spending time with his family, Ryan approaches everything with integrity and a commitment to excellence.
